Following fully booked workshops in September in both Edinburgh and Glasgow I have managed to fit in another workshop in Edinburgh before Christmas along the same themes of Mindful and Social Eurythmy/Movement, with a focus on centrering, balancing, finetuning our senses and connecting.
Today's society doesn't always favour and enable positive connections with other people and social Eurythmy is a great way of promoting connection and awareness of social dynamics. Mindful Eurythmy is a great aid in a time when experts say we are in the middle of a stress epidemic and mental health problems are on the rise.
In this workshop we will continue working with some of the Mindful Eurythmy exercises and find ways of combining and becoming creative with them. In between we will weave a social element to bring both a bit of fun and ultimately get to an experience of how movement can become an active group meditation.
I feel more self-aware, grounded and centred! I liked the individual exercises and working together in groups. I think the balance of this was just right. Thank you! Glasgow participant
The workshop is suitable for anyone regardless of experience with movement or Eurythmy, but please note that the workshop will not give you the necessary skills or experience to teach the exercises. As usual there will be a tea/coffee break in the middle of the workshop with time to connect and take notes. All refreshments will be provided.
