In the last couple of months I've been asked by several people if I run Eurythmy workshops for children or know of anyone who does. After the third time I decided I should probably start listening to what people are asking for and have decided to run a Eurythmy workshop for children and their parents.
Eurythmy is taught in Steiner/Waldorf Schools all over the world, but is often not available for children who don't attend one of these. This is great shame, as Eurythmy is very instrumental in helping children in their development on many different levels, including spatial orientation, coordination and dexterity, social awareness, rhythm and geometry and a fuller appreciation of sound, language and poetry/verse. You can read more here.
This workshop will focus on exercises that work with all these elements in various ways and there will be time to both have fun and to be more mindful. The workshop is mainly for children, but parents are expected to take part as well and have to stay for the duration of the workshop. The workshop is suitable for children age 7- 12 and to allow as many children as possible to come I'd appreciate if only one parent comes per one or two children.
There will be a snack break in the middle of the workshop with all refreshments provided. The workshop is suitable for anyone regardless of experience with Eurythmy.
