Eurythmy is an art form, but, as you can see on this website, it is also a form of mindful and social movement. It’s effectiveness as a mindfulness tool lies not just in the strengthening of the mind-body connection, but in the fact that Eurythmy as a movement form in itself has a harmonizing effect. Many of the Eurythmy exercises that can be used mindfully bring balance to e.g. our sense of our own space and to how our thinking, feeling and willing/doing work together.
Strengthening resilience is an important factor in learning to cope more effectively with stress and adversity. There is a lot of talk of resilience these days. It has become quite a buzz-word, and this article is an attempt at giving an overview of what is meant by the term resilience and what we can do to strengthen it. There are different definitions of resilience and different ways of approaching it. Some people think of it only as the capacity to bounce back from adversity and hardship, whereas others see it as being both about our ability to bounce back, but also our ability to manage stress, challenges and adversity effectively.
