The new term has started, but it still feels very much like hibernation time in some ways. It is dark before I get home most days and it is still very much winter. The autumn and winter is a time when we are generally much more attuned to and focused on our inner needs and in listening to ourselves, whereas in the spring and summer we are busy with being in the world and enjoying the abundance of nature and the warmth (if there is any!).
Therefore winter is a good time to initiate routines of self-care and taking time to rebalance and energise. Eurythmy is a great way to find harmony and inner balance and it is gentle exercise which everyone can take part in. This block of sessions is only 6 weeks as it’s a short term and getting back into the swing of things may take a little time. However, we will make up for it by working on some of the eurythmy meditations, rods exercises and themes such as thinking, feeling and willing – to help us get a stronger feeling for our different ways of engaging with the world. You don’t need to have any previous experience with eurythmy or movement to join. There will be no session on the 15th February, so the last session will be 15th March.
Starting Thursday 1st February ~ 5.20 – 6.20
Venue: Orwell Arts, 17 Orwell Place, Edinburgh, EH11 2AD
Cost: £30 for the block of 6 sessions.
